Which is stronger bone china or porcelain?

Porcelain is generally thicker than bone china products. While industry minimum is 30% bone content and stronger, higher grade product goes up as high as 40-45%bone content, R.W. Does ceramic break easily?

The rub with ceramics is that, while they're tough to scratch, they're* *more prone to cracking compared to metal. ... Some ceramics, like bricks, have large pores. “The larger the pore, the easier it is to break,” Greer says. If you've ever broken a ceramic vase or some such, the break probably originated at a pore.

Why is lead used in ceramic glazes?

The glaze – which may contain lead to facilitate the melting of glaze particles – fuses to the pottery when it is fired in a kiln, a special oven used to bake clay.Because the lead may not fuse into the non-lead glaze, it may contaminate food when the pottery is used with food.

How long can I expect to get the sample?

After you pay the sample charge and send us confirmed files, the samples will be ready for delivery in 6-8 days. The samples will be sent to you via express and arrive in 3-5 workdays.

Can you match a specific color for the glaze on the mugs I am ordering?

Sorry, we cannot guarantee a perfect color match with our glazes due to the limited amount of glaze colors we have as well as the variation in the way our glazes can look on the final product due to the forces of mother nature.
